Proteas batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius struck a T120I career-best 94 against Zimbabwe in Windhoek on Tuesday.
Lhuan-dre Pretorius hit a career-best 94 off 51 balls to power the Proteas to 184/6 in their T20I Tri-Series clash against Zimbabwe in Windhoek on Tuesday.
It was only the 20-year-old's second T20I half-century in 16 innings, with the powerful left-hander finally transferring his excellent franchise form to the international stage. Pretorius bludgeoned 12 boundaries and three sixes.
The building blocks of the Proteas' innings were Pretorius' partnerships up front with opening partner Jordan Hermann (28 off 25 balls) and Dewald Brevis (41 off 27 balls). The platform up front yielded 68 runs off 46 balls before Brevis went into overdrive as the second wicket brought 86 runs off 46 balls.
Pretorius was prepared to bide his time during both partnerships, as he meticulously put away any bad balls that came his way.
