Two men accused of extorting a Cape Town security company owner were arrested during a police sting operation in Parow.
Two men accused of threatening to kill a Cape Town security company owner, his family and employees over alleged extortion payments are expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The men, aged 35 and 47, were arrested during a police sting at a golf club in Parow after allegedly travelling from Gqeberha to Cape Town to collect the money.
According to SAPS, the security company owner had allegedly been receiving demands for extortion payments since May.
Police said the suspects threatened to kill him, his family and employees if their demands were not met.
