From September 4 to 17, special traffic and access restrictions will be in effect in Uman during the Rosh Hashanah celebrations to ensure the safety of pilgrims and local residents.

Ukrinform reports this, citing Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Head Ihor Taburets , in a Facebook post.

“From September 4 to 17, special rules governing entry to, exit from, and movement around Uman will be in effect due to the celebration of Rosh Hashanah. The restrictions are being introduced to ensure the safety of residents and visitors to the city,” Taburets wrote.

He urged everyone concerned to take the restrictions into account in advance and plan their routes accordingly.

“All these measures are for safety. We introduce them every year,” the regional military administration head stressed.
