SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur—The municipal government of Magsingal in this province imposed a temporary liquor ban and curfew amid severe weather brought by the southwest monsoon.
Acting Municipal Mayor Alrico Favis signed Executive Order No. 55, Series of 2026, on Sunday, Aug. 30, ordering the immediate implementation of the restrictions.
Under the order, the sale, distribution, purchase, serving, and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited throughout the municipality for the duration of the habagat until the restrictions are officially lifted.
