Promotional image for Seoul Fashion Week 2027 Spring-Summer (SFW) Seoul Fashion Week returns Tuesday for a six-day run that splits the city's biggest fashion event between two landmarks for the first time.The 2027 spring-summer edition runs through Sept. 6 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza and the World Park at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil. Thirty-one brands will stage runway shows and presentations, while roughly 100 will take part in the trade show, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said.DDP hosts 17 designer runways and eight presentations. The Jamsil site, organized with Lotte Department Store, adds an outdoor runway aimed at contemporary labels, shoppers and tourists.Rerhee opens the DDP schedule. The label, led by designers Rhee June-bok and Joo Hyun-jung, showed at Paris Fashion Week for three consecutive years through 2026 and builds this season's collection around "the value of what remains," worked into restrained tailoring and fine detailing.Also on the DDP lineup are Caruso, Lie, Doucan, HolyNumber7, Ulkin, Hanna Shin and Mmam, spanning several generations of Korean designers.Kimhekim opens the Lotte World Tower runway Thursday with its first show at a Korean fashion week. Designer Kim In-tae launched the brand's international career at Paris Fashion Week in 2019, and the 10th-anniversary collection, titled "Seoul Light," revisits the label's archive.The show also marks a new tie-up with Adidas, which is supporting the collection and the runway production. Kimhekim has selected the Stan Smith as a key silhouette, and the sneaker will appear in fresh styling as part of the collection.Contemporary labels take over the Jamsil runway on Saturday, with a solo show from Dunst, which now works with about 100 buyers in some 30 countries, followed by a joint runway from General Idea, EBM and Mahagrid.Those shows introduce live shopping. Pieces on the runway carry QR codes and dedicated links that connect to Lotte Department Store's online mall, letting viewers buy what they have just seen.Programming outside the runways leans on K-pop and lifestyle content. At Jamsil, K-pop boy group NCT marks its 10th debut anniversary with a curated runway on the closing day, an exhibition of stage costumes from Friday to Sept. 6, and a flea market selling about 3,000 items of stage wear. All proceeds will be donated to programs for women, youth and culture. Adidas runs a separate pop-up featuring a Stan Smith Seoul Edition and a custom package styled by Kimhekim.At DDP, 18 brands, including Pulmuone and D'Alba, take part in a K-lifestyle street pairing fashion with food, beauty and wellness.The trade show runs Wednesday to Friday, with buyers from Printemps, Samaritaine, United Arrows, Club21 and HBX.
