The Tiruppur district administration took the lead in conducting free coaching for TNPSC Group 2 and 2A Examinations, even before the notification was issued on August 11, with a view to ensure enough time for candidates to be prepared.As many as 102 aspirants are undergoing the free training since August 4 at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre on the Collectorate premises.The free training began even earlier — on July 20 — at the Udumalpet centre (Municipal Middle School Extension), for 58 participants.The free training was initiated recently under the Focussed Block Development Programme for 11 aspirants at the BDO Office in Kundadam, R. Suresh, District Employment Officer, said.“Factoring in the ideal duration required to prepare the candidates effectively through the free training, we planned the schedule based on the TNPSC Annual Planner,” Mr. Suresh said.The TNPSC notification announced 41 vacancies for Group 2 posts and 780 vacancies for Group 2A posts.In Coimbatore, the district administration has arranged for free coaching classes for TNPSC Group 2 and 2A Examinations at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre. The coaching, which will begin on September 1, will be held both in English and Tamil.The participants will be provided with study materials for free and permitted to utilise the library with a large collection of books on competitive exams.The Centre will also conduct subject-wise tests and model exams. In a press release, District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar instructed aspiring participants of the free coaching programme to enrol by visiting the Coimbatore District Employment and Career Guidance Centre near Kavundampalayam along Mettupalayam Road or by dialling 9361576081.
