Europe’s largest street festival, Notting Hill Carnival, is marking its 60th year this weekend.

The event, split across Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday has only ever been cancelled three times – first in 1970 following severe local community and police tensions and again during the Covid restrictions.

The Carnival brings more than two million people each year to the now sought after streets of West London.

We’ve been at the pre-party to check out the planning and preparation.
