Dindigul Corporation office wearing a deserted look on Thursday, following a state-wide one-day casual leave protest by Tamil Nadu Municipal and Corporation Officers Association.

Dindidul Corporation staff went on a mass casual leave on Thursday, demanding that the State government fulfil their charter of demands. The offices wore a deserted look, and routine work was disrupted.Some of the key demands of the protesters included the disbursement of salaries and pensions for the employees through the treasury. They said the job transfers and promotions should be conducted through a formal counselling process.They demanded the restoration of various posts that had been omitted through a G.O. issued in this regard. They said the review meetings should not be conducted on weekends, public holidays, or outside regular office hours. They also urged the State government to take necessary steps to fill the vacant positions.Due to the one-day protest staged by employees, Dindigul Corporation office wore a deserted look.
