The water level in the Stanley Reservoir in Mettur was nearing 90 feet, against the full reservoir level (FRL) of 120 feet, on Thursday (August 27, 2026).According to officials of the Water Resources Department, the water level stood at 89.24 feet at 8 a.m., while the storage was 51.78 tmcft, against the reservoir’s full capacity of 93.47 tmcft. The inflow was 7,454 cusecs, while 2,000 cusecs was released into the Cauvery for drinking water.Meanwhile, the water level in the Bhavanisagar Dam in Erode district stood at 51.73 feet, against its FRL of 105 feet. As of 2 p.m., the inflow was 1,739 cusecs. A total of 2,300 cusecs was released into LBP canal and 100 cusecs into River Bhavani for drinking water.
