South African Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago leads the unveiling and launch of the of two commemorative circulation coins honouring significant milestones in the advancement of women in South Africa.
The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) has unveiled a commemorative R2 coins honouring significant milestones in the advancement of women in South Africa.
The coins commemorate Charlotte Maxeke’s graduation and the 1956 Women’s March, as part of the SARB’s Milestones of Freedom Campaign.
SARB Governor Lesetja Kganyago led the official unveiling and launch of the coins.
He was joined virtually by Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Sindisiwe Chikunga.
