Mumbai: Allcargo Logistics on Wednesday said it is scaling up its blue-collar workforce by 20 per cent across its express distribution and consultative logistics businesses to cater to an expected surge in demand during the festive period.The enhanced workforce deployment is designed to strengthen operational capacity across the network and ensure consistent service levels during the period of heightened demand as festive shopping season gathers momentum, it said.The 20 per cent addition would take the total workforce deployed across both businesses to approximately 9,000 during the peak season, it said.From traditional festive purchases to the continued rise of omnichannel shopping, consumers' expectations for faster deliveries, better product availability and seamless shopping experiences continue to redefine retail supply chains, it said."The festive season is no longer just about handling higher demand; it is about building supply chains that can respond with speed, flexibility and precision.
