The Military in the Southern African country of Botswana and the world’s strongest military, the United States, have decided to strengthen their defense ties.

The decision came on the heels of the recently concluded joint military exercise between the two countries.

Following the completion of Exercise Southern Accord 2026 in Botswana’s capital, Gaborone, both countries reiterated their commitment to increasing defense cooperation, as reported by DefenseWeb.

The exercise brought together members of the United States military and the Botswana Defense Force for collaborative training on operational planning, interoperability, and responding to common security issues.

“The rigour of this exercise challenged participants to learn new concepts in cyber defence and space operations.
