Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, Head of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, claimed that the United States and Israel are “bewildered and astonished,” asserting that Donald Trump’s administration seeks to create a rift among the Iranian people through increased economic pressure.
Speaking on Monday, August 24, before a gathering of judicial officials within the Islamic Republic’s court system, Mohseni-Ejei stated: “The regime and the U.S. are seeking to create a divide among the people; they are looking to draw certain individuals into the field to serve their own desires, but they are sorely mistaken.”
The Head of the Judiciary also framed the repeated statements regarding intensified sanctions against the Islamic Republic as a sign of “bewilderment” on the part of U.S. President Donald Trump.
