Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, the Chief of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, referred to the current situation in Iran and stated that the enemies of the Islamic Republic have grown “frustrated” by the unity and solidarity of the Iranian people and are seeking to undermine it.
Speaking at a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary on Monday, June 22, Ejei said: “The enemy and its lackeys have become frustrated by the unity and solidarity of the Iranian nation, and they are seeking to tarnish this sacred unity. We must be highly vigilant not to move, God forbid, in a direction that aligns with the enemy’s desires.”
The Judiciary Chief claimed that over the past few months, the Iranian people have turned out in large numbers on streets and in public squares to mourn those killed in the recent war and to show their backing for the Leader of the Islamic Republic and support for the armed forces.
He also once again expressed distrust regarding negotiations with the United States, stating: “How can one trust America and the treaty-breaking, arrogant, and base president of this regime? Given the experience we have, how could we possibly trust America?”
In another part of his speech, Ejei addressed the performance of the judicial apparatus, describing the rulings issued by judges of the Islamic Republic’s judiciary as “defensible.”
