AFC Bournemouth have locked down a season-long loan deal for Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, adding a proven Serie A shot-stopper to their ranks ahead of what promises to be a demanding campaign on the south coast.
The agreement includes a non-mandatory purchase option valued at €14 million, roughly £12 million, with performance-related bonuses potentially tacked on top. A medical examination is expected to wrap up the formalities, with multiple credible outlets including Sky Sport Italia and transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming the move.
From Monza breakout to Juventus to the Premier League
The 29-year-old Italian made his name at Monza, where he was good enough to win the Serie A Best Goalkeeper award. Juventus came calling, initially bringing him in on loan before making the deal permanent in the summer of 2025. That permanent transfer reportedly cost the Old Lady €13.5 million plus bonuses, on top of an initial €4.5 million loan fee. So Juventus invested roughly €18 million to secure his services, only to send him out the door a year later on loan with an option that would recoup most of that outlay.
For Di Gregorio, born July 27, 1997, the move represents a chance to test himself in the Premier League. He reportedly gave his personal endorsement to the transfer.
