MANILA, Philippines — The country’s grid operator again issued a red alert for the Visayas grid on Monday, as outages at some coal plants and limited imports from Mindanao continue to leave electricity supply thin.
In an advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said the red alert would be in effect from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
