Over the past day, August 22, 254 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded along the front line.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook in an update on the frontline situation as of 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 23.
The enemy launched two missile strikes using six missiles and 98 airstrikes, dropping 329 guided glide bombs. In addition, Russian forces used 11,859 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,318 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian troop positions.
Artillery fire hit Korenok, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Volfyne, Yastrubshchyna, and Luzhky in Sumy region. An airstrike targeted the area around Potapivka.
The Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck three areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, four UAV control posts, and one Russian command-and-observation post.
