SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — Government relief efforts have been stepped up for families affected by flooding in Ilocos Sur, with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 1 (DSWD FO 1) distributing nearly 500 Family Food Packs (FFPs) in two municipalities.

In a report on Friday (Aug. 21), the DSWD FO 1 said it provided 192 FFPs to families in Sta. Domingo, following flooding caused by rains associated with the southwest monsoon or Habagat and recent storms.

Another 286 FFPs were distributed in Tagudin, bringing the total number of food packs delivered to the two municipalities to 478.
