MANILA, Philippines — Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon on Saturday described witness Gina Acosta’s testimony regarding the confidential funds of Vice President Sara Duterte as a “smoking gun.”
During the Saturday News Forum, Ridon was asked whether the prosecution panel was worried that presenting Acosta as a hostile witness, given the counter-affidavit she filed defending Duterte and her circumstances as a former special disbursing officer of the Office of the Vice President (OVP), might weaken its arguments.
“We’re very much satisfied with how Ms. Acosta answered this week. I think her testimony is one of the smoking guns in this trial,” Ridon said.
