MANILA, Philippines – The House prosecution panel has no objection to the Senate’s plan to move Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial to the afternoon to expedite the process.

Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon said the prosecution has no problem holding the Monday to Wednesday hearings until the evening and would even support adding a fourth hearing day each week if the Senate Impeachment Court determines that the extended schedule is workable.

Ridon said longer and more hearing days could help the court recover time lost to weather disruptions and finish the case without curtailing either side’s presentation.
