MANILA, Philippines — While it is a welcome development that the Senate Impeachment Court has supposedly determined when Vice President Sara Duterte’s trial will start, the prosecution panel’s spokesperson is concerned whether having hearings start by 2:00 p.m. would suffice.

Prosecution team spokesperson and Kabataan party-list Rep. Renee Co said on Friday that they will have to see whether the impeachment court’s decision to hold impeachment hearings in the afternoon will be enough since there will be three hearing dates in a week.

Different sources have told the media that the trial proper would start on July 6, and would be held every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. onwards.

“Well, for now, we welcome the announcement that there will be already the schedules that the Senate is arranging,” Co said in an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel’s Headstart, transcripts of which were sent to reporters covering the House of Representatives.
