Nigeria’s bustling beauty and personal care market received another major boost as The Makeup Fair Series (TMUFS) hosted the 19th Lagos Makeup Fair (LMUF19) from August 8 to 9, 2026.
Marked as the platform’s official Summer Edition, the two-day event held at Classique Events Place, Ikeja, represented a monumental milestone the 140th edition of TMUFS since its inception as a pioneer trade platform dedicated to connecting beauty businesses directly with consumers and industry stakeholders.
The tradeshow gathered over 60 vendors spanning cosmetics, skincare, fragrances, hair care and beauty accessories, reflecting the rapid expansion and diversification of West Africa’s beauty sector.
A core pillar of LMUF19 was its focus on lowering entry barriers for indigenous, emerging brands seeking retail visibility and market penetration.
The 140th edition featured debuts from rising beauty labels, including Aymiie, Byote, The Amber Skincare Company and My Lab Africa, alongside Flirtshade Cosmetics, which exhibited for the first time at the Lagos fair.
