MANILA, Philippines — Three weather disturbances are being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), with one forecast to enter by Monday, Aug. 24, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported in its 5 p.m. weather advisory on Friday that Severe Tropical Storm Saudel is moving northwestward and may pass through the Philippine sea on Monday.

As of 3 p.m., Saudel was located 2,635 kilometers (km) east of Southeastern Luzon. It packs maximum sustained winds of 110 km per hour and gustiness of up to 135 km per hour.
