MANILA, Philippines — A typhoon monitored outside the country may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday next week, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

In the 5 p.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, weather specialist Loriedin De La Cruz – Galicia said that Typhoon Bavi is expected to strengthen in the next few days due to its favorable environment.

“It may enter our area of responsibility by Wednesday. Once it enters the PAR, it will be named tropical cyclone Inday,” De La Cruz – Galicia said.
