MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning and has a “moderate” chance of developing into a typhoon, the state weather bureau said.
According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Veronica Torres, once the LPA enters and gradually approaches the country, it could potentially bring rainfall to a large part of the nation.

She added that although the weather disturbance has a low chance of intensifying on Tuesday, its chances of developing into a typhoon increase beyond 24 hours.FEATURED STORIES
