MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) early Thursday and may develop into a tropical depression within the next 48 hours, according to the state weather bureau.
In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, weather specialist Leanne Loreto said that the LPA entered the country around 2 a.m. It was last estimated 1,030 kilometers east of Northern Luzon as of 3 a.m.
