Kostal’s Plenticore BI 25 is a 25 kW AC-coupled battery inverter for commercial and high-end residential systems, with three-phase backup power up to 25 kVA and peak efficiency of 98.3%. It supports three independent high-voltage battery connections and storage capacities from 5 kWh to 230 kWh.
German inverter manufacturer Kostal Kostal has launched a 25 kW sales battery inverter for commercial installations and high-end residential buildings, as well as new systems and battery storage retrofits.
The Plenticore BI 25 three-phase, AC-coupled battery inverter allows the storage system to be sized independently. Kostal is targeting specialist planners, installers and operators seeking to deploy large-scale storage, reduce peak loads or optimize solar self-consumption.
Three independent battery connections enable the integration of high-voltage batteries, including Kostal’s modular Helivor HV system. The inverter supports storage capacities from 5 kWh to 230 kWh.
Kostal specifies a peak efficiency of 98.3% and says the inverter has low standby losses. The system can also use dynamic electricity tariffs to charge and discharge the battery according to electricity prices.
