Revolta has introduced a high-voltage residential sodium-ion battery storage system with modular capacity from 2 kWh to 20 kWh. The system features a 450 V DC nominal voltage, over 95% efficiency, 105 Wh/kg energy density, and IP65 protection.

German startup Revolta has launched a high-voltage battery storage system for residential applications based on sodium-ion technology. Each battery module has a capacity of 2.0 kWh, and up to 10 modules can be connected in parallel, enabling the system to reach a total capacity of 20 kWh.

The sodium-ion storage unit has a compact design, measuring 284 mm × 186 mm × 260 mm and weighing 19 kg. The module configuration can be freely adapted to scale the system according to individual requirements. A control unit provides the interface between the battery and the inverter. Revolta said it will continue expanding its list of compatible inverter models as manufacturers grant the required approvals.

According to the company’s datasheet, the system has an energy density of 105 Wh/kg and a nominal voltage of 450 V DC. Charge and discharge power varies between 0.6 kW and 1.2 kW depending on the state of charge, Revolta said. The storage system achieves an efficiency of more than 95%. It has an IP65 protection rating and holds several certifications. Noise emissions are specified at below 40 dB, while standby losses are described as very low.
