The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has warned of significant traffic disruptions around 10bet Ellis Park Stadium on Saturday, August 22, when the Springboks face New Zealand in a rugby match.
The JMPD said a substantial number of officers will be deployed to the New Doornfontein area from 6am until 11pm on match day.
"The deployment is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of spectators and facilitating the smooth flow of traffic around the stadium," said JMPD Superintendent Xolani Fihla.
He said Outsurance/Traffic Free Flow personnel will also be deployed to assist with traffic control at critical intersections leading to the stadium.
Motorists can expect significant traffic disruptions around 10bet Ellis Park Stadium in New Doornfontein on Saturday as the Springboks take on New Zealand.
