Delft SAPS has urged anyone with information to come forward.
An unborn baby was found in a drain in Delft on Wednesday.
The foetus was discovered by members of the public.
The Western Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, confirmed the incident.
“Delft police registered a concealment of birth case for investigation following the discovery of a foetus in a drain in Delft on Wednesday. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and no arrests have been made,” Twigg said.
