Western Cape police have arrested a Delft woman after her four-month-old baby was found dead inside her home.
A Delft mother has been arrested for murder after her four-month-old baby was found dead inside their home on Sunday morning, hours after she allegedly tossed the child through an open window.
Western Cape police spokesperson Constable Ndakhe Gwala confirmed the incident to the Cape Argus, saying the woman and her boyfriend had an argument at their Winnie Madikizela Street home at about 9pm on Saturday.
According to Gwala, the woman then left the house with her baby and went out drinking.
When she returned later that night, she found the house locked and her boyfriend was not there.
