Apple’s long-running antitrust battle with the European Union over the sale of iPhone apps appears to finally be over.

The EU has said that it welcomes the new app commission rates the company is offering within the bloc. The revised terms will see developers pay a commission or fee ranging from 5% to 26%, depending on their turnover and chosen sale channels …

European Union law required Apple to permit third-party app stores to operate. The company complied, but has faced complaints over the commissions and fees it charges on third-party sales.

The company this week introduced all new terms, and it now appears that the EU is satisfied with these.

For App Store apps using Apple In-App Purchase, the commission will be 26 percent. For the vast majority of developers, including those in the App Store Small Business Program, Mini Apps Partner Program, or Video Partner Program, and for auto-renewing subscriptions after their first year, it will be 15 percent.
