Police arrested a 23-year-old man on the island of Mykonos after an 18-year-old Italian woman reported being raped at a popular beach bar.

She told authorities she was intoxicated and nearly unconscious on a sun bed when an unknown man approached and allegedly assaulted her.

Police identified and detained the suspect, a Kosovo man, in his room, according to state broadcaster ERT. He faces rape charges and was transferred to Syros for prosecution.
