The singer, a nephew of the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, a member of the Accord Party, did not disclose the source of the intelligence or identify the individuals or agencies allegedly planning the arrests.

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has raised the alarm, alleging that there is a plan to launch a mass arrest of Accord Party members in Osun State in a few hours ahead of the August 15 governorship election in the state, urging the party’s supporters to remain vigilant.

Davido raised the alarm in a post on his X account on Thursday afternoon, claiming he has received information that Accord members could be arrested within hours.

“Accord members stay safe! Just got intel next few hours, they want to start arresting our people for nothing!!” he wrote.

“The plan cannot work! Stay safe! Mount your guard! We are coasting to victory,” Davido added.
