SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Initial agricultural damage and losses in this province due to monsoon rains and storms have reached an estimated P4.83 million as of the latest data from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
According to Rolex Estella, head of PDRRMO, the figures remain preliminary as damage assessments from affected areas continue to be consolidated.
The updated figure includes damage to rice and high-value crops, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture, as well as agricultural infrastructure and equipment.
