MANILA, Philippines — The La Mesa Dam in Quezon City breached its critical level but remained below its overflow status on Thursday, according to the state weather bureau.
In its 6 a.m. update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the dam’s water level stood at 79.88 meters (m) as of 5 a.m., which was above the 79.50 m threshold for critical level.
