Human rights news agency HRANA reports that attorney-at-law Bahareh Aghaei remains in legal limbo in Qarchak Prison in Varamin, despite more than seven months having elapsed since her arrest.
According to the report, Aghaei was detained following the January protests, and her legal status remains unresolved more than seven months later.
An informed source close to the defense attorney’s family confirmed her continued detention and lack of due process in an interview with HRANA.
“Bahareh Aghaei, who was arrested following the January protests, remains in judicial uncertainty despite the passage of over seven months,” the source stated.
Information published by HRANA indicates that Aghaei was transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin some time ago and continues to be held there.
