In the Tyumen region, the central gas fractionation unit at a Tobolsk plant, which is part of Russia’s largest petrochemical holding company SIBUR, was damaged in a drone attack.
According to Ukrinform, the ASTRA Telegram channel reported this.
It is noted that the central gas fractionation unit at ZapSibNeftekhim LLC was hit.
Earlier, Governor Alexander Moor confirmed the attack on the region. He stated that a fire broke out at an industrial enterprise in the Tyumen region after several drones crashed. However, he did not specify which facility was involved.
ZapSibNeftekhim is Russia’s largest petrochemical complex, owned by the SIBUR holding company. The plant processes byproducts of oil production, producing 2.5 million metric tons of polymers per year.
