On July 25, a local oil refinery in the Russian city of Tyumen caught fire following a drone attack.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel.
“As a result of the attack … an enemy drone crashed on the grounds of the Tyumen Oil Refinery, causing a fire. Emergency service specialists are working at the scene,” the publication quotes regional Governor Aleksandr Moor as saying.
There is currently no information on casualties or the extent of the damage.
Residents of Tyumen reported hearing at least two explosions and the activation of air defense systems, as well as seeing smoke rising above the Tyumen Oil Refinery. The second source of smoke is the refinery’s flare stack, designed for the safe and controlled burning of gases.
