MANILA, Philippines — Three evacuation centers remained open in Manila on Monday evening as rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat continued to affect parts of the capital, according to the Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW).

As of 6 p.m. on Aug. 10, a total of 200 families or 653 individuals remained in the city’s active evacuation centers. The MDSW said some evacuees had already returned to their homes.
