The Danube River continues to record very low water levels along the Bulgarian section, with the lowest reading on August 10 reported at Ruse, where the level stood at -111 centimeters, according to data from the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River. The level there fell by another 2 centimeters over the previous 24 hours.
Negative water levels were recorded at all of the main hydrometric stations monitored by the agency. The level was -97 centimeters at Oryahovo, -94 centimeters at Silistra, -72 centimeters at Novo Selo, -55 centimeters at Svishtov and -8 centimeters at Nikopol. No changes over the previous 24 hours were reported at those stations.
The measured water discharge was 1,971 cubic meters per second at Nikopol, 1,566 cubic meters per second at Ruse, 1,556 cubic meters per second at Svishtov, 1,412 cubic meters per second at Novo Selo, 1,231 cubic meters per second at Silistra and 1,206 cubic meters per second at Oryahovo.
The river water remains unusually warm, with temperatures ranging from 26.6 to 28.2 degrees Celsius. Silistra recorded the highest temperature at 28.2 degrees, while the lowest was measured at Novo Selo at 26.6 degrees. The water temperature was 27.2 degrees at both Nikopol and Oryahovo, 27.1 degrees at Ruse and 27 degrees at Svishtov.
