In a swift police operation, two suspects were apprehended in connection with a mass shooting in Langa.
Two men have been arrested for firearm and drug-related offences following a mass shooting that claimed the lives of five people in Langa on Saturday night.
The arrests were made during an intelligence-driven police operation on Sunday, following a shooting in Winnie Mandela Street, Phase 3.
Police said members of the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team and Provincial Counterfeit and Illicit Goods policing team followed up on information which led them to a house in Winnie Mandela Street.
Officers found a 24-year-old man at the house during a search and recovered six rounds of ammunition and a black pair of gloves from the boot of the suspect's vehicle.
