A 17-year-old boy is recovering after he was stabbed in the back on the grounds of Hoërskool Bredasdorp following a friendly rugby match against Hoërskool Punt.
A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back following a friendly rugby match at Hoërskool Bredasdorp in the Western Cape on Saturday.
The provincial police spokesperson, Constable Ndakhe Gwala, confirmed that a case of attempted murder has been opened.
"A 17-year-old boy sustained stab wounds on his back and is currently receiving medical treatment," Gwala said.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and no arrest has been effected at this stage."
