A 15-year-old boy is recovering after he was stabbed in the back on the grounds of Hoërskool Bredasdorp following a friendly rugby match against Hoërskool Punt
A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back after a friendly rugby match at a school in Bredasdorp in the Western Cape on Saturday.
The provincial police spokesperson, Constable Ndakhe Gwala, said a case of attempted murder had been opened. Initially, Gwala said the victim was 15 years old, but this was later rectified.
"A 17-year-old boy sustained stab wounds on his back and is currently receiving medical treatment," Gwala told IOL.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and no arrest has been effected at this stage."
