A 16-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed in the back during an altercation over a pair of ‘stolen’ soccer boots while playing the game with friends in Buffelsdale, Tongaat, on Sunday afternoon.
Ethan Daniels Govender was allegedly attacked by a parent at the Silverdale Primary sports grounds.
Ethan claimed one of his friend’s had earlier asked him to look after a pair of soccer boots while he went to his grandfather's house to collect money.
He claimed the same friend later informed his father that the boots had been stolen, prompting the confrontation.
