With Indian Meteorological Department alerting about heavy rain in parts of Dakshina Kannada, the Deputy Commissioner H.V. Darshan has declared holiday for educational establishments in some parts of the district on Saturday.In a statement on Friday, Mr. Darshan said anganwadis, government, aided and unaided primary and high schools, PU colleges, including residential ones, ITI and Diploma colleges, in Beltangady, Puttur, Sullia and Kabada taluks will remain closed on August 8.
