BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Continuous heavy rains caused temporary flooding along a section of the Baguio–Bauang Road (Quirino Highway) in Barangay Irisan, Baguio City, prompting the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to warn motorists to drive with caution on Friday, Aug. 7.
In a public advisory, the DPWH said floodwaters have accumulated along the highway as persistent rains continue to affect the area.
The agency warned that water levels may rise further during periods of intense rainfall but are expected to subside quickly once the rain eases.
