The Department of Biotechnology at Andhra University will organise a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Emerging Frontiers in Biotechnology: AI, Fermentation Technology and Biomanufacturing (EFBAFTB-2026)” under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) from August 24 to 28.The programme poster was unveiled by Vice-Chancellor G.P. Raja Sekhar at his office on Friday. Registrar K. Rambabu, Dean of Academic Affairs K. Srinivasa Rao, Dean of Research and Development V. Valli Kumari and Head of the Department of Biotechnology P. Radhika were present.According to Ms Radhika, the programme will focus on applications of artificial intelligence in biotechnology, fermentation technology and biomanufacturing through expert lectures and interactive technical sessions. It is intended for faculty members of universities and affiliated colleges, particularly those affiliated with Andhra University, in the fields of biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry and other life sciences.
