Andhra University has invited applications for admission to its five-year integrated Food Science and Technology programme for the 2026-27 academic year under the self-support scheme at the College of Science and Technology.According to the notification issued by the Directorate of Admissions on Tuesday, the programme comprises a four-year B.Sc. (Honours) course followed by a one-year M.Sc., in line with the National Education Policy (NEP). The course offers multiple entry and exit options, enabling students to earn a certificate after one year, a diploma after two years, a bachelor’s degree after three years, a B.Sc. (Honours) after four years, and an M.Sc. degree on completion of the fifth year.The programme has an intake of 40 seats, in addition to four seats under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category. Candidates who have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology, securing at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories), are eligible to apply.Admissions will be based on merit in the qualifying examination and government reservation norms. The annual tuition fee has been fixed at ₹65,000. Applicants must submit a demand draft of ₹2,000 towards registration and processing, in addition to a counselling fee of ₹600. Filled-in applications should reach the Directorate of Admissions by 5 p.m. on July 15. Counselling will be held at 10 a.m. on July 17. No separate call letters will be issued, and candidates must attend with original certificates and be prepared to pay the prescribed fee if allotted a seat.
