Public sector Lignite and power major NLC India reported a net profit of ₹436 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, down 48 per cent when compared to ₹839 crore in the same quarter last year. The profit in the year-ago quarter was higher due to a deferred tax adjustment of ₹425 crore.
The company posted a revenue from operations of ₹4,717 crore, up from ₹3,826 crore.
Meanwhile, NLC’s coal production stood at 40.85 lakh tonnes (lt), up from 37.88 lt in Q1 FY26, registering a growth of 7.84 per cent.
Gross Power Generation was 8,262.06 MU compared to 6,609.40 MU in Q1 2025-26, registering a growth of 25 per cent.
Shares of the NLC India ended 0.33 per cent lower at ₹303.00 apiece on the NSE on Friday.
